Millie "Lewis" Ann Wade

St. Martinville - A Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 am, on Wednesday, May 11, 2016, at Union Baptist Church in St. Martinville, for Millie Ann Wade, 70, who passed away on Tuesday, May 3, 2016, at New Iberia Manor North. The family requests that visiting hours be observed from 7:00 am until time of service on Wednesday, at Union Baptist Church in St. Martinville. Reverend Joel Greene, Sr. will officiate at the Funeral Service. Interment will follow at Union Baptist Cemetery in St. Martinville. Millie was a member of the Missionary Society and a Deaconess at Union Baptist Church. For over 20 years, she was employed as a dietician at Palestine Health Care Center in Palestine, TX. Millie enjoyed playing bingo and going on casino trips. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends. She is survived by her step son, Murphy Ray Evans Wade; brothers, James Lewis and wife Betty of Chicago, IL and Roy Lewis of St. Martinville; and sisters, Helen Walters and husband Leon of Suisun, CA, Rosie Houston, and Dora Lewis both of St. Martinville. She was preceded in death by her husband, Curtis Wade; parents, Clarence, Sr. and Mildred Williams Lewis; brothers, Donald Lewis, Clarence Lewis, Jr., and Roger Lewis; and mother-in-law, Ola C. Wade. Pallbearers will be Finley Williams, John Williams, Dustin Thornton, Dwight Lewis, Darryl Houston, and Anthony Faulk. Pellerin Funeral Home (337-332-2111) is in charge of arrangements.
