Murphy LeBlanc

New Iberia – Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm, on Tuesday, October 21, 2025, at Pellerin Funeral Home, for Murphy LeBlanc, 93, of Coteau, who passed away on Friday, October 17, 2025.

Interment will follow in the Holy Family Cemetery.

Rev. Ed Degeyter will officiate.

Visitation will be Tuesday, from 8:00 am until 2:00 pm, at Pellerin Funeral Home.

A native and lifelong area resident, Mr. LeBlanc was born on January 21, 1932, in Catahoula, to the late Gabriel and Yola Latiolais LeBlanc. He proudly served our country in the U.S. Army and worked in the oilfield for most of his life. Mr. LeBlanc had a big sense of humor always joking and making everyone laugh. He enjoyed camping, birdwatching, playing cards, and drinking coffee. However, his greatest joy was spending time with and spoiling his grandchildren and great grandchildren. He will be deeply missed.

Survivors include his wife of 70 years, Hazel Poirrier LeBlanc of Coteau; children, Sara Lee LeBlanc Adkins (Anthony) of Coteau, Vance LeBlanc of Coteau, and Chad LeBlanc of Van Buren, Arkansas; brother, Gabriel LeBlanc, Jr. (Lou) of St. Martinville; grandchildren, Shay Frith (Jacob Breaux), Amber Robin (Jeffery), Hanna Frith (Ji’seri Guillory), Gabrielle Frith (Jared Lilley), Rhonda Ross, Melinda Ross, and Tiffani LeBlanc.

In addition to his parents, Mr. LeBlanc was preceded in death by a sister, Oline Guidry, and a grandson, Martin LeBlanc.

Pallbearers will be Chad LeBlanc, Vance LeBlanc, Jeffery Robin, Ji’seri Guillory, Jacob Breaux, and Tony Adkins.
