St. Martinville, Louisiana- A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 12:30 PM, Saturday, November 22, 2025 at Disciples of Christ Church in St. Martinville honoring the life of Mya Lynn Perodin, 17, who passed away on November 10, 2025 at her residence surrounded by her loving family.
A visitation will take place at Pellerin Funeral Home in St. Martinville on Saturday, November 22, 2025, from 7:00 AM to 12:15 PM.
Pastor Byron Hypolite will officiate at the Funeral Service. Reader will be Lucille Davis.
Burial will follow at Baptist Cemetery.
It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Mya Lynn Perodin, born on October 18, 2008, in Lafayette, Louisiana. Mya departed this world on November 10, 2025, at the tender age of 17, leaving an indelible mark on the hearts of all who knew her. She was a cherished daughter, niece, cousin, and friend, adored for her vibrant spirit and infectious laughter.
Mya was a proud member of the JROTC at Breaux Bridge, where she exemplified leadership and dedication. Her passions extended beyond the classroom; she had an exuberant love for reading, cooking, fishing, and even mechanics. Mya became known for her extraordinary skills in handling plumbing for her family and friends, always ready to lend a helping hand. Her green thumb flourished in the garden, and her culinary creations brought comfort and joy to those around her. Mya had a joyful presence on TikTok, sharing her life and connecting with others through her unique creativity.
Mya treasured every moment spent with her family and friends, creating memories that will be forever etched in their hearts . Each of her loved ones will hold onto the beautiful memories of Mya, celebrating the vibrant light she brought into their lives.
Mya's journey may have been short, but her impact on those around her will forever resonate. As we remember her joyful spirit and the joy she brought to our lives, we find solace in the love she shared. May she rest in peace, free to explore the gardens of eternity
She is survived by her mother, Stephanie Perodin; aunts, Tamia Perodin and Latravia Briscoe; uncle, Steve Perodin, Jr.; cousins, Miracle Perodin, Javon Jacquet, Malique Perodin, and Aziree Briscoe.
She is preceded in death by her brother, Marqueal Perodin; grandfather, Steve Perodin, Sr.; maternal great grandparents, Florita and Lawrence Charles, Sr.; paternal grandparents, Elizabeth and Ferdinand Perrodin; and cousin, Zacariah Perodin.
Pallbearers will be Keith Francis, Rodgrick Charles, Quinton Charles, Jerry Perodin, Jr., Kerry Lewis, Jr., and Mario Mitchell.
Honorary pallbearers will be Khamari Bruno, Kevin Perodin, Jr., and Steve Perodin, Jr.
