St. Martinville - A Funeral Service will be held at 9:00 am on Saturday, May 8, 2021, at Pellerin Funeral Home in St. Martinville for Myrtle Prescott Pierre, 93, who passed away on Tuesday, May 4, 2021, at her residence. The family requests that visiting hours be observed at the funeral home from 7:00 am until the time of service. A rosary will be prayed at 8:30 am on Saturday. Fr. Cyriaque Sounou will officiate at the Funeral Service. Interment will follow at St. Michael Mausoleum in St. Martinville. Myrtle, known to many as, "Aunt Myrt", had a love for children like no other. She raised and took care of all of her nieces and nephews. Children were truly the joy of her life. Aunt Myrt will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her. She is survived by a host of nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Harry Prescott and Aurelia Williams Prescott; sisters, Nita Ledet, Lydia Main, Hilda Clemons, all of Los Angeles, CA and Gladys Menard of St. Martinville; and brothers, Alton Prescott and Russell Prescott, both of Los Angeles, CA.
