Nancy Patin, a beloved secretary at FHA and Oilfield Service companies, passed away on January 12, 2024. She was known for her kindness and love for her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Nancy had a heart full of compassion and a joyful spirit that brought laughter to those around her.

Born on December 8, 1938, Nancy lived a life filled with passion and purpose. She dedicated many years to her career as a secretary, contributing her valuable skills to the companies she worked for. Through her work, she displayed professionalism and dedication that earned her the respect of colleagues and clients alike.

Despite the demands of her career, Nancy always made time for what truly mattered to her - her family. Nothing brought her more joy than being surrounded by her loved ones, watching them grow and thrive. She shared countless cherished moments with all of her family, creating lifelong memories that will forever be held dear in their hearts.

Nancy had an infectious sense of humor that endeared her to all who knew her. She had a talent for lightening even the heaviest of hearts with a well-timed joke or a mischievous twinkle in her eye. Laughter followed wherever she went, brightening the lives of those fortunate enough to be in her presence.

In addition to bringing joy through laughter, Nancy had an array of hobbies and interests that enriched her life. Crocheting and quilting were amongst her favorite pastimes - she poured love into every stitch, creating beautiful works of art that served as tangible expressions of affection. Reading was also one of Nancy's passions; she immersed herself in novels that transported her to faraway places and introduced her to captivating characters. She also enjoyed sitting on the porch every afternoon sipping her wine and visiting with her husband Ray.
Nancy enjoyed occasional visits to the casino with her family. It was during these outings that she reveled in the excitement of trying her luck, savoring the thrill that came with each spin of the slot machines. Her optimism extended even to scratch off Lotto tickets, always hoping for that lucky win.

She is survived by her sons, Jorge (Chookie) Diaz and Bill (Christine) Diaz; daughter, Judy Patin; sister, Nellie Webb; grandchildren, Misty Poirier, Heather (Brody) Miller, Chelsie Diaz (Christian Ochoa), Christian Diaz, and Crystal Diaz (Charles Lalonde); step-grandchildren, Lyndsey (Holly) Hunter, Travis Hunter, Canda Miller and Cody (Katie) Meaux; great-grandchildren, Abbigail Frederick, Maya Poirier, Jahseh Lalonde, Ella Miller, Olivia Meaux, Ethan Meaux and Memphis Hunter; daughter-in-law, Tami Diaz; and sister in law Aline (Harold) Artigue.
