New Iberia – Too gentle for this world to survive in it, Nancy Lee delaHoussaye, 42, passed away on Sunday, June 29, 2025. She was born on September 1, 1982, in New Iberia, and was the joy and prayer of her parents and big brother.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 10:00 am, on Thursday, July 3, 2025, at the First Methodist Church, in New Iberia. Interment will be at a later date.

Rev. Xavier Torres will officiate.

Visitation will be at the First Methodist Church, on Thursday, from 8:00 am until 10:00 am.

Nancy was a feisty go getter. She succeeded or won almost anything and everything that she participated in. Nancy struggled with many health issues. A 2000 graduate of the Episcopal School of Acadiana, she was the head cheerleader during her junior and senior years. Nancy continued to Rhoades College, in Memphis, Tennessee, where she was a cheerleader. She was selected to join the Kappa Delta Sorority and received her bachelor’s degree in marketing from LSU.

Survivors include her husband of six years, Ryan Schultz; parents, Carl and Judy Lampman delaHoussaye; brother, Benjamin delaHoussaye (Amy); nieces, MacKenzie delaHoussaye and CC Collins; nephews, Caleb delaHoussaye, Skylar delaHoussaye (fiance’ Lindee) and Evan Bourque; steson, Ryan Schultz, Jr.; great niece, Emberlynn Marshall; and many loving cousins.

She was preceded in death by aunts, Louise Lampman, Emilie L. Rapp, and Rita L. Riggins. Uncle, Martin Van Lampman, V; and a nephew, Christopher Collins.
