A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated for Nell Bourque Hebert, age 93, at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, July 23, 2014, at St. Martin de Tours Catholic Church in St. Martinville. Father Rusty P. Richard will be celebrant of the Mass with Reverend Monsignor Keith DeRouen (homilist), Father Austin Leger and other con-celebrants.
Mrs. Hebert was born on June 20, 1921 and died on Sunday, July 20, 2014 at Our Lady of Lourdes Regional Medical Center surrounded by her family.
She is survived by her children Dalton F. Buddy Hebert, Jr. and wife Debbie of St. Martinville, Keith T. Hebert and wife Kathy of Opelousas, Nanette Hebert Gooch and husband Billy of St. Martinville, Wayne P. Hebert and wife Kathy of St. Martinville, Teddy J. Hebert and wife Lisa of Maurice, Raymond J. Hebert and wife Allyson of Lafayette and Sally A. Hebert of Houston, plus 17 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Maudry Bourque Melancon of St. Martinville and Marion Bourque Dugas of New Iberia; and two brothers, Louis Joe Bourque of St. Martinville and Bobby Bourque of Baton Rouge.
She was preceded in death by her husband Dalton F. Hebert, Sr.; her parents, Daniel and Modeste Barras Bourque; two sisters, Lena Bourque Bonin and Hazel Bourque Berard; and two brothers, Jerome Jerry Bourque and Raymond Bourque, Sr.
Visitation will be held at Pellerin Funeral Home located at 112 N. New Market St. in St. Martinville, on Tuesday, July 22, 2014 from 2:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. with a rosary prayed at 7:00 p.m. The visitation will continue on Wednesday from 7:00 a.m. until the time of service at 11:00 a.m.
