Henderson - Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., on Wednesday, September 15, 2010, at Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Church in Henderson, for Nelson Joseph Mason, 74, who passed away at 4:15 p.m. on Sunday, September 12, 2010 at Lafayette General Medical Center. Interment will follow at St. Michael Cemetery in Henderson. Father Keith Landry, a longtime family friend, will officiate at the Funeral Mass. Nelson was born on January 29, 1936. He worked for the Louisiana Department of Wildlife Fisheries for 26 years. He loved to hunt and be with family and friends.
