New Iberia Funeral services will be at 10:00 AM, Wednesday, May 7, 2014, at Pellerin Funeral Home in New Iberia, for Daniel Charles LaBiche, 74, who died on Sunday, May 4, 2014 in New Orleans. Entombment will follow in Holy Family Cemetery. Msgr. Keith DeRouen will officiate. A gathering of family and friends will be Tuesday from 4:30 PM until 8:00 PM at Pellerin Funeral Home, in New Iberia. A rosary will be prayed at 6:30 PM Tuesday. Visitation will continue on Wednesday from 9:00 AM until 10:00 AM. Mr. LaBiche was born on March 7, 1940 in Patoutville, and was the son of Numa LaBiche, Jr. and Una Gary LaBiche. A graduate of New Iberia High School, he attended USL and was a retired general contractor. Mr. LaBiche enjoyed working outdoors and took great joy in his family. Survivors include his wife of 49 years, Ann Robbins LaBiche of New Iberia; children, Danielle Leger and husband Holland of Irmo, South Carolina, Aimee Theriot and husband Phillip of New Iberia, Adele Platt and husband Andy of New Iberia, Chad LaBiche and wife Laura of New Iberia; brother, Wayne LaBiche and wife Brenda of New Iberia; sisters, Tammy LaBiche of Lafayette, Shelagh LaBiche of Virginia; best friend and un official brother, Lionel Sutton, Jr. and wife Kate of New Iberia; mother-in-law, Mary Schwing Robbins of New Iberia; brother-in-law, Ruel Robbins of California; seven grandchildren, Peyton Theriot, Trinity Leger, Drew Platt, Josie Platt, Evan LaBiche, Emma LaBiche, and Elliot LaBiche. Pallbearers will be Chad LaBiche, Phillip Theriot, Andy Platt, Holland Leger, Peyton Theriot, and Drew Platt. Honorary pallbearers include Trinity Leger, Josie Platt, Evan LaBiche, Emma LaBiche, and Elliot LaBiche.
