Nick Fields

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Nicholas "Nick" Fields Sr.,  who left us on May 3rd, 2023, at the age of 39. Nick was born on July 2nd, 1983, in Houma, Louisiana.

Services for Nick will be held on Saturday, May 27, 2023, at Parc des Ponts de Pont Breaux on St. Bernard Drive in Breaux Bridge (along the banks of the Bayou Teche).

Service times and events are as follows:

11:00 AM – 1:30 PM - Gathering of Family & Friends

1:30 PM – Memorial Service

2:00 PM – Balloon Release

2 PM – 5: 45 PM – Celebration of Life

5:45 PM – Candlelight Remembrance

6:00 PM – Dove Release

Nick was well-known for his loving and joyful personality. He was always the life of the party and never failed to put a smile on someone's face. He will be remembered for his kind heart, contagious laughter, and his immense love for his family. He was a devoted husband to Amanda Deroche Fields and a doting father to their five children: Shilah Nekole Fields, Shaila Lyne Fields, Shelbi Amanda Fields, Shorli Michaela Fields, and Nicholas James Fields Jr.

Some of Nick's fondest memories include cooking for holidays with his family by his side and baking sweet treats for his little ones. He always made time for the things he loved most - fishing with his family and spending quality time with loved ones.

Nick is survived by his brother-in-law,  Jared Deroche; mother-in-law, Roxane Deroche; father Ephie Dupre Jr., stepmother Krystal Armstrong; brothers,  Brandon Dupre Sr., Chris Dupre; sister Brittany Lynn Dupre; many nieces and nephews

Nick is preceded in death by his beloved mother Nancy Fields and father-in-law Michael Deroche Sr.; as well as his maternal and paternal grandparents.  

Nick will be deeply missed by all, but he'll forever remain in the hearts of those who knew him. Our thoughts and prayers are with Nick's family during this difficult time.  The family is accepting donations to help with expenses.
