Norille Menard

Breaux Bridge- Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, February 5, 2011 , at St. Bernard Catholic Church in Breaux Bridge , for Norille Menard, 86, who passed away on Tuesday, February 1, 2011 at Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital. Interment will follow at St. Bernard Cemetery No. 2 in Breaux Bridge . Fr. Allen Breaux will conduct the services. Norille was a member of Holy Name Society and St. Bernard Altar Society. He retired from the Cargil Salt Mine after 38 years of service. Survivors include his wife of 67 years, Ruby Landry Menard of Breaux Bridge; his son, Benny Menard and his wife, Yvonne of New Iberia; his daughters, Elaine Delhomme and her husband, Jack Dale of Breaux Bridge, Diane Reed and her husband, Francis of Breaux Bridge, and Lillie Breaux and her husband, Jeff of Maurice; his brothers, Lucien Menard, Jr. and his wife, Belle of Breaux Bridge; his sister, Ann Douet of Breaux Bridge; his seven grandchildren, Chance Delhomme, Casey Delhomme and his wife, Tracy, Kelli Guidry, Rachael Lemoine and her husband, Mike, Kyle Guidry and his wife, Hallie, Matt Menard and his wife, Aja, and Luke Menard; and his nine great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Lucien Menard, Sr. and Lelia Hulin Menard; his brother, Percy Menard; his sisters, Leontine Delahoussaye, Lorena Boutte, and Loretta Champagne. The family requests that visiting hours be observed from 2 p.m. until 9 p.m. on Friday, February 4, 2011 and continue at 8 a.m. until 9:30 a.m. on Saturday. A rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. on Friday. Pallbearers will be Jack Dale Delhomme, Francis Reed, Jeff Breaux, Chance Delhomme, Casey Delhomme, Kyle Guidry, Matt Menard, and Luke Menard.
