Breaux Bridge - A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 2:00 pm, Thursday, June 27, 2024, at Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Church in Henderson, for Norman "Boy" Robin, 91, who passed away on Friday, June 21, 2024, at his residence.
A visitation will take place at the funeral home in Breaux Bridge on Wednesday, June 26, 2024, from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm and will continue on Thursday, from 7:00 am to 1:30 pm.
A Rosary will be prayed at 7:00 PM on Wednesday, by Deacon Marcel "Butch" Hebert.
Father Michael Richard will officiate at the Funeral Mass.
Interment will follow at St. Michael the Archangel Mausoleum in Henderson.
Norman was born on June 29, 1932, in Arnaudville, Louisiana. Norman embraced life with a passion for duck hunting, fishing, and building homes. However, his love for crawfishing truly captured his heart. The thrill of the chase and the joy of the catch were moments where he found peace and happiness.
Norman's true legacy lies not only in his hobbies, but in the love he shared with his family. His devotion to his beloved wife shone brightly throughout their years together, a beacon of unwavering love and support. His children and grandchildren were blessed to have him as a guiding light, always there to offer wisdom, humor, and endless love.
He is survived by his wife of 69 years, Cecile J. Robin; children, Patty Robin Girouard, Earl Robin (Tina), Danny Robin (Joanie) and Elizabeth Robin Johnson (Carey F.); son-in-law, Robert "Tooby" Guidry; grandchildren, Danielle Guidry Broussard, Nicholas Guidry, Vince Gary, Derrick Robin, Anthony Robin, Lilly Robin, Buddy Robin, Lacey Robin, Barry Neal Guidry II, Mary Johnson Smith, Neil Murphy, and Maureen Biddle; 14 great grandchildren; sisters, Charlotte Robin Johnson, Barbara Robin Johnson, Bernice Robin Hayes, and Nettie Robin Robin; brother, Curtis J. Robin; and his sisters-in-law, Vevian Robin and Carol Smith Robin.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Roman "Gro" and Esther Arnaud Robin; daughter, Katie Robin Guidry; son-in-law, Thomas "Tommy" Girouard; grandsons, Marcus Guidry and Dax Gary; sisters, Gertrude Robin Callandret and Rose Marie Robin; brothers, George Robin and Joseph Robin; and his brothers-in-law, Herman Callandret, Andy Johnson, Adley Johnson, Lionel Hayes, and Roy Robin; sister-in-law, Clara Robin.
Pallbearers are Ryan Broussard, Nicholas Guidry, Barry Neal Guidry II, Jamie Broussard, Robert "Tooby" Guidry, and Carey F. Johnson.
Honorary pallbearers are Derrick Robin and Curtis Robin.
The family would like to thank his caretaker, Christine Boyer.
