Breaux Bridge - A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 am, on Friday, April 29, 2016, at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in Breaux Bridge, for Olita B. Carron, 91, who passed away on Tuesday, April 26, 2016.
The family requests that visiting hours be observed at the funeral home from 7:00 am until 10:30 am on Friday.
A rosary will be prayed at 8:00 am on Friday.
Rev. Joseph Campion will officiate at the Funeral Mass. Readers will be Tanya Cormier and Elsie Chaisson. Gift bearers will be Katina Celestine and Monica Steward.
Interment will follow at St. Francis of Assisi Cemetery in Breaux Bridge.
Olita was a prayer warrior and a devout Catholic. She loved her family and she was a devoted mother and grandmother. Olita will be remembered as a giving and loving person, who always took care of everyone. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
She is survived by her companion, Ansley Semere, Sr.; sons, Gerrvis Carron and wife Margaret, and Clifton Carron; daughters, Verde Morgan and husband Wilton, Sr., Mary Rose Alfred and husband Clarence, Jr., Elsie Chaisson, Mary Agnes Dural, Lou Anna Carron, Linda Carron, and Lenora Carron; brother, Roosevelt Noel; sister, Shirley Zenon; 27 grandchildren; and numerous great, great-great, and great-great-great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Alfred and Gladys Broussard Bergeron; her husband, Carlton Carron; a son, Irvin Carron; her grandchildren, Kassandra Alfred and Karen Alfred, Cleo and Carolyn Carron, and Deontra Alexander; her brother, Gilbert Noel; and sisters, Hilda Jones, Eula Jones, and Soloma Borel.
Pallbearers will be Wilton Morgan Jr., Emile Chaisson, John Carter, Michael Carron, Cliford Carron, and Marcus Jefferson.
Honorary pallbearers will be her two sons, Wilton Morgan, Sr., Clarence Alfred, Jr., Roosevelt Noel, and Jacoby Carron.
