Breaux Bridge - Oswald "Ozz" Laviolette, 69, passed away on March 1, 2023, at Ochsner St. Martin Hospital in Breaux Bridge.
Ozz was an honest, hardworking, and intelligent man, who loved his family dearly. He enjoyed working on small engine repairs and riding motorcycles. Ozz also enjoyed spending time outdoors, hunting and camping. His most recent employment before retirement was with Fluid Crane, which he truly loved and enjoyed. Ozz was a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, and friend that will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Donna Broussard Laviolette; daughters, Danielle Lara Mejia (Alex), Dawn Stanford (Dave), Damieka Laviolette, Dorothy Laviolette, Destinie Monnin (Spenser) and Daelyn Laviolette (Dylan); brother, Jean Batiste "JB" Laviolette (Brenda); grandchildren, Desiree' Laviolette, Yeblin Yamileth Lara Mencias, Cody Rodrigue, Darlin Alexander Lara Mencias, Shalynn Laviolette, Lance Stanford, Jules Laviolette, Enny Abdiel Lara Mencias, David Laviolette, Trey Lasseigne, Ansley Pierce, Elden Josiel Lara Mencias, Caroline Stanford, John Alex Martin, Jeremiah Pierce, Joseph Laviolette, Isaac Monnin, Leviticus Monnin, Noah Hebert, Zachariah Monnin and Ezekial Monnin; great-grandchildren, Blair Duplechin, Hunter Nezat, Brooklyn Andrus and Elianna Spence; and his best friend, Patrick Boudreaux.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Jean Batiste Laviolette and Yola Courville Laviolette; brothers, Alvon Laviolette, Aldon Laviolette, William Laviolette, Maxwell Laviolette and Wilton Laviolette; sister, Elaine Bernis; and his best friends, Ardigo and Warren Olivier.
