Paola Huval

Cecilia - A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 1 p.m., on Monday, December 19, 2011, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Cecilia, for Paola Guidry Huval, 89, who passed away on Friday, December 16, 2011 at J. Michael Morrow Memorial Nursing Home in Arnaudville. Fr. Michael Delcambre will officiate at the funeral Mass. Scriptures will be read by Jennifer Huval and Amanda Seneca. Gift Bearers will be Molly LeBlanc and Julie Perry. Interment will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery. Mrs. Huval enjoyed doing quilting and embroidery work. She worked hard to make sure her children were provided a good life. She will be sadly missed by her family and friends. Survivors include her daughter, Brenda Huval of Breaux Bridge; her son, Clyde P. Huval and wife, Dianna, of Cecilia; two sisters, Dorita Chambless of Arnaudville, and Ivy Carriere of Opelousas; six brothers, Alton, Allen, Harris, Leland, Nolan, and Newton Guidry, all of Arnaudville; six grandchildren, Jennifer Huval, John Huval, Molly H. LeBlanc, Riley Robin, Amanda Seneca, and Julie Perry; and nine great grandchildren, Peyton and Parker Huval, Avery LeBlanc, Valek, Drake, and River Seneca, and Chaz, Carter, and Claire Perry. She was preceded in death by her parents, Ophey and Bertha Duplechin Guidry; her husband, Claude Joseph Huval; her great grandson, Ridge Robin; and a sister, Bernice Arnaud. The family requests that visiting hours be observed from 3:30 p.m. until 9 p.m. on Sunday and continue on Monday at 8 a.m. until 12:45 p.m. A rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. on Sunday. Pallbearers will be Nolan Guidry, Newton Guidry, John Huval, Riley Robin, Shane Seneca, and Kipp LeBlanc. Pellerin Funeral Home of Cecilia is in charge of arrangements.
