Patricia Duplantis Grosselle

Patricia Duplantis Grosselle was the daughter of Thomas Lee and Dorothy Cockrell Fuqua, and a lifelong resident of New lberia. Her earthly life ended on Thursday, June 12 during open heart surgery.

She is survived by three sons and their children: Tyson Everett Duplantis and daughters Allie Michelle and Emily Frances; Bradley Hoffer Duplantis and son Michael; and Brian Francis Duplantis. Her three surviving siblings are Thomas 'Tommy" Saxon Fuqua, Jean Fuqua Owens, and Carol Fuqua Lines.

She graduated high school from Mt. Carmel Academy. "Patsy” was a kind and gentle spirit, always willing to be of help to those in need. She was a loving wife, mother, sister, aunt, and friend. Her Catholic faith and her family were most important to her. Friends have described her as a beautiful and sweet person.

ln addition to dedicating her life to raising her three sons and lovingly supporting their endeavors, "Patsy” worked as a medical transcriptionist at lberia General Hospital and for independent transcription companies until retirement.

Memorial graveside services were held at 10:00 am, on Wednesday, June 18, 2025, at Nativity of Our Lady Cemetery. Rev. Ed Degeyter officiated.
