Patricia 'Pitch' Oubre

New Iberia - A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 AM, on Tuesday, July 26, 2016, at St. Peter Catholic Church in New Iberia, for Patricia "Pitch" LeBlanc Oubre, 65, who passed away on Friday, July 22, 2016, in Houston, Texas. Interment will follow in the Broussard Cemetery. Rev. Alexander Albert will be the Celebrant. A gathering of family and friends will be at St. Peter Catholic Church from 9:00 AM until 10:00 AM on Tuesday. A lifelong area resident, Mrs. Oubre was born on March 17, 1951 in Abbeville to Allen and Lydia Viator LeBlanc, and was graduate of New Iberia Senior High. She worked as a cosmetologist for several years, and was a devoted wife and mother. Mrs. Oubre enjoyed going to the casino, playing cards, shopping, and spending time with her family and friends, especially her grandchildren. She was a devout Catholic who was very proud of her faith. Survivors include her husband and best friend of 45 years, Harvey Oubre of New Iberia; daughters, Shara Guidry and husband Josh of New Iberia, Brai Ronsonet and husband Dustin of New Iberia, Kealey Oubre of Henderson; a godchild who was like a daughter to her, Laura Etie and husband David of New Iberia; brother, Penley LeBlanc and wife Cyndi of New Iberia; grandchildren, Shadd Derise, Jaley Derise, Landon Guidry, Shea' Guidry, Elia Ronsonet, Jhett Ronsonet, Alea Etie, Alyse Etie, and Luke Etie. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Patsy Viator. Pallbearers will be Joshua Guidry, Dustin Ronsonet, Shadd Derise, Landon Guidry, Luke Etie, and David Etie. Honorary pallbearers include Jhett Ronsonet, Penley LeBlanc, Seth Viator, Ryan Viator, and Jake Derise.
