Paul Charles Fontenette

St. Martinville - A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 am on Thursday, October 17, 2019, at Notre Dame Catholic Church in St. Martinville for Paul Charles Fontenette, 60, who passed away on Saturday, October 12, 2019, at Franklin Health Care Center. The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Notre Dame Catholic Church from 7:00 am until 10:00 am on Thursday. A rosary will be prayed at 8:30 am on Thursday. Rev. Gus Wall, SVD will officiate at the Funeral Mass. Con-celebrant will be Deacon Norman Alexander. Readers will be Terracia Skipper and Anika Porter. Gift Bearers will be Annette Lee, Paula Fontenette, and Terri Pierre. Interment will follow at Mallalieu United Methodist Cemetery in St. Martinville. Mr. Fontenette was a member of the Knights of Peter Claver and served as an usher at Notre Dame Catholic Church for many years. He is survived by one uncle, Henry Fontenette of St. Martinville; one aunt, Audrey Alexander of St. Martinville; and numerous cousins. He was preceded in death by his mother, Annabelle Fontenette; and his grandmother, Daisy Fontenette. Pallbearers will be Jonas Fontenette, Floyd Fontenette Jr., Rene Dalcourt, Jeremy Fontenette, Henry Dalcourt, and Willie Rogers. Honorary pallbearers will be Henry Fontenette, Oswald Doucet Jr, James Fontenette, and Peter Jones. Pellerin Funeral Home (337.332.2111) is in charge of arrangements.
