Paul Jimmy Segura

New Iberia Funeral services will be at 10:00 AM, Saturday, October 11, 2014, at Pellerin Funeral Home in New Iberia, for Paul Jimmy Segura, 64, who died on Wednesday, October 8, 2014 in Kaplan. Interment will be at a later date. A gathering of family and friends will be Friday from 4:30 PM until 9:00 PM at Pellerin Funeral Home, in New Iberia. A rosary will be prayed at 6:30 PM Friday. Visitation will continue on Saturday from 8:00 AM until 10:00 AM. Mr. Segura was born on June 22, 1950 in New Iberia, and was a graduate of New Iberia Senior High. He worked as an oilfield consultant, and he enjoyed building birdhouses. Survivors include his mother, Theresa Hebert Segura of New Iberia; wife, Bonnie Derouen Segura of New Iberia; two sons, Eric Segura and wife Emily of Loreauville, Brandon Segura and Brooke Lasseigne of Youngsville; brother, Wilmer Segura and wife Brenella Anne of Ft. Worth, Texas; sisters, Roxana Nguyen, Joan Guilbeau and husband Edwin Chico Guilbeau, Patricia Broussard, Antoinette Delcambre and husband Leslie, Barbara Darby and husband Terry; grandchildren, Erica Lynn Segura, Zachary Taylor Segura, Chloe Michelle Segura, and Lexi Fontenot. He was preceded in death by his father, Joseph Segura; daughter, Pagent Renee Segura; brothers, Bob Segura, Joseph Joe Segura, Jr.; brothers-in-law, Quy Nguyen, and Patrick Broussard.
