Pauline "Poopsie" Horton

St. Martinville - A Funeral Service will be held at 10:00 am on Monday, July 31, 2023 at Pellerin Funeral Home in St. Martinville for Pauline "Poopsie" Horton, 60, who passed away on July 28, 2023 at The Calcutta House. 

A visitation will take place at the funeral home in St. Martinville on Sunday from 2:00 pm until 8:00 pm. It will continue on Monday from 8:00 am until the time of service at 10:00 am. 

Pastor Robert Lyons will officiate at the Funeral Service. Interment will follow at All Saints Cemetery in Loreauville. 

Pauline, affectionately known as "Poopsie", was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. She embodied warmth and kindness in everything she did. Her genuine smile could light up a room, and her laughter was contagious. Poopsie valued her relationships deeply and cherished spending time with her loved ones.

When she wasn't busy spreading joy to those around her, Poopsie loved to cook and she enjoyed watching the bird feeders outside her window. Family meant everything to her and she cherished the moments spent with them. She particularly adored being a grandmother and treasured every opportunity to spoil her grandchildren. Poopsie loved her last job as a supervisor at Cypress Briar Enterprises, where she packed alligator meat.

Pauline "Poopsie" Horton was a ray of sunshine in the lives of all who knew her. Her infectious laughter, immense love for her family, and zest for life will forever be remembered. While our hearts are heavy with grief at her departure, let us celebrate the beautiful memories she has left behind. Poopsie's legacy will continue to live on through the laughter and love she shared with each and every one of us.

She is survived by her sons, Brad Horton (Glenn) and Marlon Daigle (Kristie); grandchildren, Rylan Daigle, Elise Claire Daigle, Marlee Daigle and Cole Hebert (Ashlyn); great-grandchild, Waylon Roy Hebert; brothers, Darrell Horton (Darlene), Jeff Horton (Ruby), Brian Horton (Priss) and Michael Horton (Linda); sister, Tina Savoy (Travis);  and brother-in-law, Wade Miguez. 

She is preceded in death by her parents, Sidney Horton, Jr. and Louise Arnaud Horton; sister, Donna Miguez; and sister-in-law, Wanda Horton.

Pallbearers will be Michael Horton, Jeff Horton, Brian Horton, Travis Savoy, Cole Hebert and Ravis Savoy. 

Honorary Pallbearers will be Rylan Daigle and Christina Boudreaux.
