Coteau - A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 1:00 PM Thursday, January 13, 2011 at Our Lady of Prompt Succor Catholic Church in Coteau for Perry Carl Williams, 55 who died Saturday, January 08, 2011 in New Orleans . Entombment will follow in the church mausoleum. Rev. Barry Crochet will be the Celebrant. Born on December 9, 1955, to William and Ann Williams, Perry was a graduate of New Iberia Senior High and a member of the United States Navy. After relocating back to the Lafayette area, he worked as a Licensed Practical Nurse. He was a resident of the New Orleans area since 1985, and was an avid Beatles and science fiction fan and coin collector. Survivors include his wife of 27 years, Dona Cutrera Williams; mother, Ann 'Ms. Ann' Williams of Coteau; brothers, David Williams and wife Janet of Tuscumbia, Alabama , Robert Williams and wife Tyra of New Iberia, Carol Williams of Madison , Alabama along with numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, William D. 'Mr. Willie' Williams. A gathering of family and friends will be Wednesday from 1:00 PM until 9:00 PM at Pellerin Funeral Home, 502 Jefferson Terrace Blvd , in New Iberia . A rosary will be recited at 6:30 PM Wednesday.
