Philip "Phil" Ned Courville

Cecilia, Louisiana - A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 1:00 pm, Tuesday, December 23, 2025, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Cecilia, honoring the life of Philip "Phil" Ned Courville, 61, who passed away on Friday, December 19, 2025, in Lafayette.

A visitation will take place at Pellerin Funeral Home in Cecilia on Monday, December 22, 2025, from 1:30 pm to 9:00 pm and will continue on Tuesday, December 23, 2025, from 7:00 am to 12:30 pm.

A rosary will be prayed at 6:00 pm on Monday.

Rev. Randy Courville will officiate at the Funeral Mass. Readers will be Jennifer Huval and Lea Courville. Gift bearers will be Emma Boudreaux, Kassy Courville, Madelyn Courville and Krystie Dupuis.

Burial will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery.

Philip was a steadfast pillar of strength to his family and was known for his reliable and responsible nature. Philip was a true workaholic, pouring his heart and soul into every project. He took immense pride in the houseboat he built, a testament to his dedication and craftsmanship. An outdoor enthusiast, Philip found joy in fishing, trail riding, and restoring cars and trucks with his son-in-law, Lance. He always looked forward to the annual Cruising on the Coast, where he connected with fellow enthusiasts and made lasting memories.

Philip was a man who never met a stranger, forging bonds with everyone he encountered. His love for family was unconditional, and he found great happiness in watching his son Hunter play music, creating moments that will forever resonate in their hearts.

Philip's legacy of love, hard work, and dedication will continue to inspire all who had the privilege of knowing him. He will be profoundly missed, but his spirit will live on in the hearts of his family and friends.

He is survived by his wife, Angela M. Courville; sons, Trevor (Lea) Courville, Barry (Kaylan) Branch, and Hunter (Emily Simon) Courville; daughter, Tangie (Lance Huval) Courville; mother, Charlene Courville; brothers, Mickey (Heidi) Courville and Jody (Stephanie) Courville; sister, Sherri (Tim) Soileau; grandchildren, Gemma and Juliet Courville, Rhede, Brees, Briar and Blakley Branch, Lakeyn and Saylor Laneaux, Aralyn Courville, and Myka Huval.

He is preceded in death by his father, Leus "Dubee" Courville; granddaughter, Kimber Huval; mother-in-law, Bonnie Hardy; and his godmother, Jackie Young.

Pallbearers will be his sons, Lance Huval, Mickey Courville and Beau Courville.

Honorary pallbearers will be Jody Courville, Rhede, Brees, and Briar Branch.
