Breaux Bridge, Louisiana- A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:30 AM, Monday, June 29, 2026 at St. Bernard Catholic Church honoring the life of Phillis Latiolais Lally, 75, who passed away on June 25, 2026 at Chauteau Terrebonne Healthcare.
A visitation will take place at Pellerin Funeral Home of Breaux Bridge on Monday from 10:00 AM until service time.
Rev. Garrett McIntyre will officiate at the funeral mass. Readers will be Connor Lally, Lucas Lally and Karen Baker. Gift bearers will be Mia Lally, Mackenzie Lally and Ethan Lally.
Burial will follow at St. Bernard Cemetery No. 1.
Phillis worked as a Medical Supply Sterilizer for Lafayette General Medical Center for 40 years. Throughout her career, she forged many cherished friendships and was respected by her colleagues for her diligent work ethic and caring nature.
While she could often appear serious at first glance, those who truly knew her recognized her unexpected sense of humor and her ability to make others laugh when they least expected it. Phillis was known for her collection of knick-knacks, each piece holding a special memory or story.
Phillis will be remembered for the immense pride she had in her family, her genuine spirit, and the laughter she brought to those around her.
She is survived by her two sons, Charles "Chuck" Lally, Jr. and Will Lally and his wife, Tamera Truxillo Lally. She was a proud grandmother to Brandon Lally, Taylor Lanclos, MacKenzie Lally, Lucas Lally, Connor Lally, Ethan Lally, Mia Lally, Ridge Brignac, and Hayes Brignac, and a loving great-grandmother to nine great-grandchildren.
She is also survived by her sister, Gloria Latiolais Engeron; her brother, Robert Latiolais, Sr.; her godson, Dr. Eric Engeron; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Chester Latiolais and Evelyn Guidry Latiolais; her brother, Anthony Latiolais; and her niece, Michelle Latiolais Jarreau.
Pallbearers will be Charles Lally, Will Lally, Eric Engeron, Brian Engeron, Brandon Lally, Lucas Lally, Conor Lally and Ethan Lally.
Pellerin Funeral Home (337-332-2111) is in charge of arrangements.
