Ralph Francis Willis

Survived by his beloved wife of 65 years, Dolores Ann “Dolly” Stoute, and five daughters: Rozlyn Anne Rider (John), grandchildren Matthew Christopher and Leah Rachael Standley (Jeremiah Arthur), great-grandchildren Osha Willis and Cléli Pearl Arthur; Patrice Marie Willis; grandchildren Nathan David and Justin John Sibille; Susan Lynn Boutté (Calvin), grandchildren Raphe Landon and Evan Reed Boutté; Lisa Louise Peck (Paul); grandchildren Allison Lee and Katherine Lauren Peck; Clela Catherine Dantin (George III), grandchildren Natalie Joy Johnson, Annie Clélie and Madeleine Brooke Dantin, great-grandchildren Zachary Michael and Catherine Ann Johnson; and sister Lucille “Tillie” Willis. Preceded in death by his youngest daughter, the late Nicole Marie Willis, and brothers Donald Lee and Joseph Aubrey “Bobby” Willis. Ralph was affectionately known by friends and family as “Papa” and “Gramps.” He loved outdoor work, land, adventures, reading and, most of all, his family. He was a pharmacist for 60+ years and received an honorary PhD from Loyola University in New Orleans. Ralph was a member of the National Guard in high school and in his later years, took a detour to live and work in Alaska for a few years. Ralph lived a full and blessed life, for which his family is eternally grateful. The family would like to express heartfelt appreciation to extended family, friends, and healthcare professionals during this season of caregiving. A private service will be held for the immediate family. Condolences may be expressed via pellerinfuneralhome.com or with cards or letters to PO Box 555, Arnaudville, LA 70512. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Joseph’s Hospice (Lafayette, LA) or charity of your choice. Pellerin Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Our memories of Ralph and Dolly are laughter, talks about our children and shared grandchildren and of course a lot of story telling (and there were some whoppers!). I am sure we will pick up where we left off when we meet again in Heaven! What a wonderful Savior we have! May the peace of God that passes all understanding be with all through this challenging time..... George and Jackie Damon
