Randy Paul Broussard was born in Delcambre, Louisiana on February 22, 1952, to the late Curley and Margaret Sons Broussard, and graduated from New Iberia Senior High School. He dedicated many years to the oilfield as a fitter welder.

An avid outdoorsman, Randy was an accomplished fisherman and hunter, and he passed down the love of those hobbies to his grandsons who will cherish those memories forever. Randy could frequently be found working in his yard, raking leaves, and cutting grass and branches. He used his skills as a welder to craft custom crawfish burners for family; those pieces will be treasured for years to come.

Randy was very selfless, always helping people. If he had one and you had none, you would each have half, because he was always happy to share with others. He had a great sense of humor and was an entertaining storyteller. What he cherished most was time spent with his family. Randy was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother and friend who will be deeply missed.

Mr. Broussard is survived by his loving wife of 52 years, Jessica Migues Broussard; daughter, Kimberly Broussard Clay (Jude); grandsons, Brock Clay (Ashley), Michael Clay, and Brandt Clay; great-grandsons, Maverick Clay and Rowan Clay; sisters, JoAnn Perret and Gayle Romero; and sisters-in-law, MaryBelle Broussard and Mary Broussard.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Mary Theresa Broussard; brothers, Terry Broussard and William “Bill” Broussard; and brothers-in-law, Emile Perret and Wilton Romero.

Pallbearers will be Brock Clay, Michael Clay, Brandt Clay, Emily Perret II, Jude Clay, and Troy Broussard.
