Mitch was known for his love of country and western music. He found joy in playing the guitar and accordion, often bringing friends and family together for joyful gatherings filled with music and laughter. Mitch's happy place was cruising with the Nik-L-Beer band. His passion for tinkering with old cars and his easy-going, go-with-the-flow nature endeared him to all who knew him. He was a faithful member of St. Joseph Catholic Church. Mitch was a beloved brother and uncle who will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
He is survived by his brothers, Paul Borel, Terry Borel (Mona) and Glenn Borel; sisters, Barbara Cade, Anna Faye Tauzin (Javis), Inez Berthelot (Vernon) and Claudette Case (Mark); as well as a host of nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Evrard Borel and Eunice Douet Borel; brothers, Steven Borel, Ernest Borel and Kernest Borel; and sisters, Amelie Green, Ella Mae Vincent and Roxanne Guidry.
Pallbearers will be Luke Borel, Jeff Tauzin, Casey Berthelot, Matthew Case, Dale Green and Timmie Vincent.
