Ray "Blanco" Paul Patin

Breaux Bridge - A Funeral Service will be held at 1:00 PM, on Wednesday, January 11, 2023, at Pellerin Funeral Home in Breaux Bridge for Ray "Blanco" Paul Patin, 82, who passed away peacefully on Friday, January 6, 2023.

A visitation will take place at the funeral home on Tuesday from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM and will continue on Wednesday from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM.

Rev. Garrett McIntyre will officiate at the funeral service. 

Interment will follow at St. Bernard Cemetery No. 2. 

Ray was born on June 22, 1940, in Breaux Bridge. He retired with Exxon with over 40 years of service. He was a Master Mason in Rayne Lodge #313 and Hugh M Daspit Lodge #301 in St Martinville. He was a Master Mason for nearly 50 years and he was a 32nd degree Mason. An avid outdoorsman, who enjoyed fishing and hunting, Ray also enjoyed cutting his grass, gardening, and doing some woodworking.  

He is survived by his wife, Nancy C. Patin; daughter, Judy Patin; sons, Jorge (Chookie) Diaz and Bill (Christine) Diaz; sister, Aline (Harold) Artigue; grandchildren, Misty Poirier, Heather (Brody) Miller, Chelsie Diaz, Christian Diaz, Crystal Diaz, Lyndsey (Holly) Hunter, Travis Hunter, Canda Miller, and Cody Meaux; great-grandchildren, Abbigail Frederick, Maya Poirier, and Jahseh Lalonde; and his daughter-in-law, Tami Diaz. 

He is preceded in death by his parents, Aramis and Evelyn H. Patin, Sr.; his son, Charles Diaz; brothers, Aramis "Black" Patin, Jr., Harold Patin, Henry Patin, Allen Roy Patin, and William "Bill" Patin; and his sisters, Mary Lou Caillier, Lucy Guidry, Agnes Marbe, and Adrianna "Pat" Welsh. 

Pallbearers will be Jorge Diaz, Christian Diaz, Brody Miller, Ricky Perez, Bob Houston, and Rick Venable.

Honorary pallbearers will be Bill Diaz, EJ Faul, Harold Artigue, Gene Latchney, Brent Faul, Anthony Broussard, and Stuart Averitt.

The family would like to extend their sincere thanks and appreciation to the staff of Hospice of Acadiana, for the compassionate care given to him during his time of need.
