Raymond Paul Boutte

Rynella A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 AM Tuesday, July 29, 2014 at St. Marcellus Catholic Church in New Iberia for Raymond Paul Boutte, 86, who died Saturday July 26, 2014, in New Iberia. Interment will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. Rev. Eugene Tremie will be the Celebrant. A gathering of family and friends will be Monday from 3:00 PM until 8:00 PM PM at Pellerin Funeral Home in New Iberia. A rosary will be prayed at 7:00 PM Monday. Visitation will continue on Tuesday from 8:00 AM until 9:15 AM. A native and lifelong resident of New Iberia, Mr. Boutte was born on January 19, 1928, and was retired from the Iberia Parish School Board. His hobbies included fishing, hunting, gardening, but most of all he enjoyed watching his grandchildren and great grandchildren grow up, all of whom will miss him dearly. Survivors include his daughters, Ada Boutte Bonin and husband Michael of New Iberia, Laurel Boutte Higgins and husband Edward of New Iberia; 4 grandchildren, Jason Bonin and wife Erica of Youngsville, Leah Bonin Gachassin and husband Matthew of Youngsville, Crystal Higgins and fianc Albert Darby of New Iberia, Christopher Higgins and wife Tina of New Iberia; 10 great grandchildren, Kaylie, Emily, Jacob, Rylee, Dax Paul, Dakotah, Ava Claire, McKenzie, Sade, and Justin. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ode and Ada Gary Boutte; and his wife, Earldean Migues Boutte. Pallbearers will be Jason Bonin, Christopher Higgins, Michael Bonin, Edward Higgins, Dax Prejean, and Matthew Gachassin. Honorary pallbearers include Mike Parastar, Nelson Boudreaux, Albert Darby, and Justin Darby. The family would like to give special thanks to Heart of Hospice, and Maureen and Nelson Boudreaux for their care and support.
