Rena Guidry

BreauxBridge - Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., on Thursday, March 10, 2011, at St. Bernard Catholic Church in Breaux Bridge, for Rena Dupuis Guidry, 92, who passed away on Monday, March 7, 2011 at her residence. Interment will follow at St. Bernard Cemetery No. 1 in Breaux Bridge. Fr. Neil McNeill will officiate at the funeral service. Rena had a passion for her cooking, gardening, and sewing, and most of all dancing. She also liked to cut the grass until she had to stop at the age of 80. Rena would always have a smile on her face and always laugh. Her laughter will never be forgotten, for she was a loving and sweet person. She will never be forgotten and will be missed by everyone who loved and knew her. Survivors include her daughter, Ernestine G. 'Tina' Hebert and her companion, Phillip P. Guidry, of Breaux Bridge ; her brother, Gaby Dupuis of Breaux Bridge; two granddaughters, Heidi Marie Hebert and Michelle Marie Hebert; and three great grandchildren, Alexis Babineaux, Taylor and Blaine Sonnier; and her ex-son-in-law, Steve Hebert. She was preceded in death by her parents, Edward and Rosalie Roy Dupuis; her husband, Joseph Wilson Guidry; two sisters, Dernise Folse and Ementha D. Pourciaux; and two brothers, Joe and Cleveland Dupuis. The family requests that visiting hours be observed from 8:30 a.m. until 1:30 p.m. on Thursday. A rosary will be recited at 11 a.m. on Thursday morning. Pallbearers will be Phillip P. Guidry, John Dupuis, Elliott Trosclair, Jonathon Clark, Josh , Jordan , and David Huval.
