Richard was a true Cajun man at heart. He embraced life with the wild spirit of the Louisiana bayou. As a commercial fisherman specializing in crawfish, he was a legend in Henderson, known for his renowned crawfish boils that brought family and friends together.
Richard's love for the outdoors extended to hunting and skinning alligators, as he cherished each moment spent at the camp. He was a man who met no stranger, welcoming everyone with open arms and a hearty laugh. But beneath his rough exterior lay the softest heart, one that treasured the bonds he formed with his beloved family, especially with his grandchildren, who affectionately called him "De-De."
Memories of Richard are laced with the warmth of his stories-the tales he loved to tell, each one a legacy in itself. He knew the basin like the back of his hand, navigating its waters with ease, much like he navigated the hearts of those around him.
Richard lived a life full of laughter, adventure, and love, leaving behind an irreplaceable mark on everyone who had the joy of knowing him. He was a man who lived fully, loved deeply, and left us with cherished memories that will last a lifetime.
He is survived by his wife of 38 years, Kim Dupuis Robin; daughters, Krystal Boyer (Travis), Kylie Robin, Kaila Guidry (Caleb) and Kelsie Foreman (Cody); sons, Ryan Robin, Rodie Robin (Bailey), Raven Robin (Blaise) and Rusty Robin (Leiton); Logan Broussard (Skylar); grandchildren, Karsyn Robin, Ledger Boyer, Emma Foreman, Easton Foreman, Everlee Foreman, Auden Guidry, Aspen Guidry, Bram Guidry, Denver Robin, Jaxon Robin and Ellis Robin; Camden and Caymen Theriot and Navy Broussard; sisters, Sally Robin (Tiny) and Melissa Robin (John L.); Lance Theriot (Kacey); and godchildren, Jessica Bonin and Jed Robin.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Lawrence Robin and Gloria Theriot Robin; and granddaughter, Maisyn Emarie Boyer.
Pallbearers will be Ryan Robin, Rodie Robin, Raven Robin, Rusty Robin, Lance Theriot and Caymen Theriot.
Honorary Pallbearers will be Jed Robin, Camden Theriot, Logan Broussard, Kyle Dupuis, Travis Boyer, Caleb Guidry, Cody Foreman, and his six grandsons, Ledger, Easton, Bram, Denver, Jaxon and Ellis.
