Breaux Bridge A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 am, on Monday, October 21, 2013, at St. Bernard Catholic Church in Breaux Bridge, for Rita Romero LeBlanc, 88, who passed away on Friday, October 18, 2013, at St. Agnes Healthcare & Rehab Center. The family requests that visiting hours be observed at the funeral home from 2:00 pm until 8:00 pm on Sunday and continue at 8:00 am until 9:30 am on Monday. A rosary will be recited at 6:00 pm on Sunday. Rev. Allen Breaux will officiate at the Funeral Mass. Interment will follow at St. Bernard Cemetery No. 2 in Breaux Bridge. Rita enjoyed sewing and spending time chaperoning the Breaux Bridge High School Band. She was active in the V.F.C. Home Demonstration Club for 65 years. She is survived by her daughter, Gail LeBlanc Perioux; her granddaughter, Dana Perioux Garcia and her husband Nick; and her great-granddaughters, Lillah Garcia and Hannah Garcia. She is preceded in death by her husband, Murphy LeBlanc; her parents, Felicien and Valerie R. Romero; six brothers, Clovis, Alex, Robley, Jessie Francis, and Willis Romero; and three sisters, Loria, Olite, and Noelie Romero.
