Rita "Tata" Pourciaux

Henderson - A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 3:00 PM, Thursday, May 22, 2025, at Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Church in Henderson, honoring the life of Rita "Tata" Pourciaux, 90, who passed away on Sunday, May 11, 2025, at Ochsner St. Martin Hospital.

A visitation will take place at Pellerin Funeral Home in Cecilia on Thursday from 8:00 AM to 2:15 PM.

A rosary will be prayed at 1:00 PM on Thursday.

Rev. Michael Richard will officiate at the Funeral Mass. Readers will be Kristie Guidry and Sandie Hardin. Gift bearers will be Courtney LeBlanc and Chelsie Nero.

Burial will follow at St. Michael the Archangel Cemetery.

Rita was born on March 6, 1935. Affectionately known as, "Tata," she loved all flowers, crocheting, playing cards, playing computer games, and was even a member of a "Grandma" bowling league. Years ago, she loved to camp and fish. Her best friend was her beloved dog, "Booty." Rita loved her family, especially all of her grandchildren. She will be deeply missed.

She is survived by her sons, Michael Pourciaux (Elizabeth Allemond) and Roddy Pourciaux (Gesette Dupuis); grandchildren, Jamie Pourciaux (Jennifer), Sandie P. Hardin (Trinity), Kristie P. Guidry (Lyle), Robby Pourciaux Owens (Brian), Rylan Pourciaux, Chelsie Nero, and Courtney LeBlanc (Nick); 13 great grandchildren; and 11 great-great grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Dallas Joseph Pourciaux; parents, Adam Robertson and Anne Berard Robertson;siblings, Roy Robertson, Howard Robertson, Walmette Latiolais, Irene Melancon, Pauline Lasseigne, Annette Blanchard, Clifton Robertson, and Milton Robertson.

Pallbearers will be Roddy Pourciaux, Michael Pourciaux, Robby Pourciaux Owens, Brian Pourciaux Owens, Rylan Pourciaux, Jamie Pourciaux, Noah Guidry, and Micah Guidry.
