Cecilia - A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 am on Saturday, September 12, 2026 at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church honoring the life of Rita R. Williams, 84, who passed away on Monday, September 7, 2026 at her residence.

A visitation will take place at Pellerin Funeral Home in Cecilia on Saturday from 7:30 am until 10:00 am.

A Rosary will be prayed at 8:30 am on Saturday morning.

Father Gregory Cormier will officiate at the Funeral Mass. Burial will follow at St. Rose of Lima Cemetery.

Rita was a remarkable cook, sharing her passion for food through her work at Robin's Restaurant and Little Capital. Her love for cooking extended beyond the kitchen; it was a heartfelt expression of her love for family and friends. Rita will be remembered not only for her delicious meals but also for her generous spirit, often spoiling her grandchildren with chocolate candy, making every moment with them a cherished memory.

She found joy in the simple pleasures of life, whether it was playing cards at the casino, going to garage sales, or sharing laughter with loved ones. Rita was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and sister, who will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her. 

She is survived by her husband of 65 years, Joseph Williams, Jr.; children, Vickie Charles (Russell), Jason Williams, Tammie Williams Mouton (Robert) and Rachel Calais (Sebastian); brothers, Moses Robicheaux, Alvin Robicheaux, David Robicheaux and Roland Robicheaux (Janella); sisters, Emma Williams, Judy Borel (Abel) and Wanda Williams (Joseph); grandchildren, Joshua Mouton, Julien Mouton (Tia), Desire Mouton, Spencer Charles, Sommer Charles, Jason Williams, Jr. and Eli Williams; great-grandchildren, Reese, Avery, Stormy and Joshua Mouton, Austin, Autumn, August and Aunix Mouton, Emersyn Charles, Zaharri and Gilberto Ayon, and Isabella Alexander; and godchildren, Chantell Broussard and Miranda Roberts.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Lenny Robicheaux and Maudry Gordon Robicheaux; brothers, Paul Allen, Lenny, Linton and Ernest Robicheaux; and sisters, Lula Carmouche, Rose Robicheaux and Mary Deanna Williams.

Pallbearers will be Joshua Mouton, Julien Mouton, Spencer Charles, Jason Williams, Jr., Eli Williams and Sebastian Noel.

Honorary pallbearers will be Russell Charles, Robert Mouton, Sebastian Calais, Gilberto Ayon, Alvin Robicheaux, Moses Robicheaux, David Robicheaux and Roland Robicheaux.

The family wishes to extend a special thanks to Dr. Deidre Lynn Stelly.
