Robert P. Belaire

Breaux Bridge - A Funeral Service will be held at 3:00 pm, on Wednesday, June 15, 2016, at Pellerin Funeral Home in Breaux Bridge, for Robert P. Belaire, 47, who passed away on Friday, June 10, 2016. The family requests that visiting hours be observed at the funeral home from 5:00 pm until 10:00 pm on Tuesday, and continue on Wednesday at 7:00 am until time of service. A rosary will be prayed at 7:00 pm on Tuesday by Tina Breaux. A second rosary will be prayed at 10:00 am on Wednesday by the Anse Le Butte rosary group. Fr. David Broussard will officiate at the Funeral Service. Interment will follow at St. Bernard Cemetery No. 1 in Breaux Bridge. Robert was a member of various organizations including AOPA (Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association), National Welding Society, Acadiana Hot Rod Association and Acadiana RC Club. He loved boating and riding his motorcycle. Robert also enjoyed working on antique cars and flying his airplane. He will be remembered as one of the kindest, gentlest individual, who was always willing to help. Robert will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him. He is survived by his parents, Edna and Bobby Belaire; brothers, Lennard Belaire and wife Barbara, Allen Belaire and wife Pam; sister, Terrie Broussard and husband Craig all of Breaux Bridge; nephews, Blake, Josh and Colby Belaire and Derek and Dylan Broussard; niece, Colleen Leblanc; and friend, Niki Mello. He was preceded in death by maternal grandparents, George and Maria Bergeron Trosclair; paternal grandparents, Wade and Amelia Degeyter Belaire. Pallbearers will be Leonard Castille, Merrill Hebert, Thad Badeaux, Andre' Pellerin and Josh and Blake Belaire. Honorary pallbearers will be Lennard and Allen Belaire, Blaine Pridgeon, Mason and Hayden Mello and Warren Bordelon.
