Robert Joseph Bouillion was born on November 18, 1944, to the late Edman and Inez Fitch Boullion. He proudly served our country in the Army National Guard during the Vietnam Era.
Robert's career was distinguished by hard work and remarkable achievements. He initially built his career as a salesman for Home Furniture, establishing himself as a knowledgeable and trustworthy figure in the industry. Later, he joined Conn’s, where he became the first million-dollar salesman in the state of Louisiana—a milestone that speaks volumes about his skill, perseverance, and integrity. He then returned to Home Furniture, where he eventually retired, leaving behind a legacy of excellence and respect.
Robert was a devout Catholic who found daily solace and strength in praying the rosary. He was also a man of various interests and talents; a true “jack of all trades.” Robert loved spending time outdoors, taking great pleasure in cutting grass and riding his golf cart. His self-appointed role as the neighborhood patrolman brought smiles to those around him. He also enjoyed camping and playing cards, especially Bourree’, making memories with friends and family over card tables. But perhaps most dear to him were his seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren, whom he adored with all his heart. His family was his pride and joy, and his love for them was evident to all. He will be deeply missed.
Mr. Bouillion is survived by his children, Monica Bouillion, Christine Trimble, Brad Bouillion (Katie), and Scott Bouillion (Hollie); grandchildren, Heidi Watkins, Brody Bouillion, Reese Bouillion, Bennett Bouillion, Paityn Simmons, Lillie Armstrong, and Masyn Armstrong; great-grandchildren, Julien Watkins and Brynn Watkins; and siblings, Barbara Touchet, Verna Dixon, and Anna Theriot.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 58 years, Barbara Gail LaSalle Bouillion; son-in-law, David Trimble; and siblings, Dalton Boullion, Diana Boullion, Harold Bouillion, and Ethel Boullion.
The family would like to express sincere appreciation to Will Langlinais for bringing weekly communion; the staff of IMC and Home Instead Health Care, especially his sitter, Ms. Mary for extraordinary care.
Robert leaves behind a world more colorful than he found it. He will remain in our hearts forever. May he rest in peace.
