Robert James Guidroz

New Iberia Memorial services will be held at a later date for Robert James Guidroz, 69 who died Tuesday, May 27, 2014 in New Iberia. Mr. Guidroz was born on October 8, 1944 in Lafayette to Robert and Verna Logan Guidroz, and was a veteran of the U.S. Navy, having served our country during the Vietnam War. He worked in the oilfield as a wireline specialist, and was an avid New Orleans Saints fan. Mr. Guidroz enjoyed playing X-Box, and listening to music. Survivors include his daughters, Stacie Krause and husband Kevin of Alaska, Tracie Winch and husband Steve of Alaska; his former wife, Sally Boudreaux; sister, Gail Guidroz Fabrega of New Iberia; grandchildren, Kevin B. Krause, Kelsey Krause, Jacob Winch, Seth Winch; a great grandchild, Sevyn; a cousin who was like a brother, Beverly E. Ford of Nashville, TN; several nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents; grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. John Logan; and by a cousin who was like a brother, John Hutchinson. The family would like to give special thanks to Dr. Hude, Dr. Roy, Dr. R. Lewis, Dr. Kitakule, the nurses and staff of Iberia Medical Center, New Iberia Radiology Oncology, Iberia Manor South, and Southern Care Hospice.
