Robert Lee "Pee Wee" Ray, Jr.

Cecilia - A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 12:00 PM, Monday, March 13, 2023, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Cecilia for Robert Lee Ray, Jr., 66, who passed away March 7, 2023, at his residence.

A visitation will take place at the funeral home on Sunday from 2:00 PM to 9:00 PM and will continue on Monday, from 8:00 am to 11:30 pm.

A rosary will be prayed at 6:00 PM on Sunday.

Rev. Greg Cormier will officiate at the Funeral Mass.  Readers will be Lyndsey H. Guidry, and Aubrey Prioux.  Gift Bearers will be Emersyn Ray, Connor Ray, Acelyn Pommier, Kynlee Bourque

Entombment will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery.

PeeWee loved bass fishing, playing pool, the LSU Tigers, the Miami Dolphins, and the Duke University Basketball team.  He enjoyed riding in his truck with a nice cold beverage while visiting family, friends, and neighbors. In his younger days, he loved playing softball and football.  PeeWee will be remembered as a kind and generous man who loved his family unconditionally and worked hard to provide a good life for them.  

He is survived by his wife, Roxane Duplechein Quinn; son Christian Ray; uncle, Paul Angelle and wife Susan; sisters, Stephanie Ray and Tara Ray; and his grandchildren, Connor, Emersyn, Cohen, and Palmer Ray.

He is preceded in death by his parents,  Robert "Bob" Ray Sr. and Nancy Jo Angelle.

Pallbearers will be Christian Ray, Harry Lee Patin, Ben Hebert, Dale Guidroz, Mike Robin, and Perry Hebert.

Honorary pallbearer will be Liam Roberts.
