Robert "Rob" James Batiste

Cecilia - A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 am on Saturday, November 24, 2018, at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church in Cecilia for Robert "Rob" James Batiste, 54, who passed away on Tuesday, November 20, 2018, at Magnolia Estates. The family requests that visiting hours be observed at the funeral home from 7:00 am until 10:30 am on Saturday. A rosary will be prayed at 9:00 am on Saturday. Rev. Gregory Cormier will officiate at the Funeral Mass. The reader will be Shirley Thibodeaux. Gift bearers will be Skylar and Cordel Batiste. Interment will follow at St. Rose of Lima Cemetery in Cecilia. Robert enjoyed going to trail rides and dance clubs – he enjoyed having a good time. Spending time and having fun with his family and friends was important to him. He will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him. He is survived by his mother, Mary Louise Edmond Batiste; sisters, Patricia Batiste, Audrey LeBlanc, Ella Batiste, and Lorena Batiste; brother, Willie Batiste; and a host of nieces and nephews, . He was preceded in death by his father, Clement James Batiste; and his brother, Arthur Batiste. Pallbearers will be Jacoby Lewis, Clement LeBlanc, Jerry Lewis, Lawrence Abraham, Christopher Lewis and Henry Lewis.
