Robley Mark Guidry, Sr

Cecilia - A Funeral Mass will be held at 3:00 PM, Tuesday, October 13, 2026, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Cecilia for Robley Mark Guidry, Sr., 89, who passed away on Saturday, October 10, 2026, at Opelousas General Hospital.

A visitation will take place at Pellerin Funeral Home in Cecilia on Tuesday from 9:00 AM until time of service.

A Rosary will be prayed at 11:00 AM on Tuesday.

Rev. Gregory Cormier will officiate at the Funeral Mass. Readers will be Debbie Angelle and Alana Landry. Gift bearers Jevin Guidry and Alana Landry.

Robley Mark Guidry, Sr. will be remembered for the love he had for his family, his hard work and the joy he found in life's simple pleasures. Throughout his life, he held several jobs that reflected his dedication and strong work ethic. He spent several years working as a television repairman in Arnaudville, worked as a cook on the dredges, and was also employed at Piggly Wiggly in Cecilia.

Outside of work, Robley enjoyed the things that brought him happiness and allowed him to spend time doing what he loved. He enjoyed cooking, fishing, gardening, and celebrating holidays surrounded by family. He especially cherished family gatherings, where everyone could come together to share good food, laughter, and make lasting memories.

Cooking was more than just something Robley enjoyed; it was a way to bring people together. Whether he was preparing a meal, spending time fishing, tending to his garden, or gathering with loved ones for a holiday, he found joy in the simple moments that made life meaningful.

Robley will be remembered for the memories he created, the time he shared with his family, and the traditions that will continue to bring loved ones together for years to come. His presence will be deeply missed, but the love he gave and the memories he leaves behind will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew him.

He is survived by his son, Craig Guidry (Rhonda); daughters, Gwendolyn Guidry, Tina Landry (Butch) and Laticia Guidry; brother, Curnal Guidry (Cheryl); grandchildren, Danielle Bihm, Joshua Brasseaux, Sky Brasseaux, Jacob Delahoussaye, Tyler Guidry, Taran Guidry, Cara Kidder and Kaylin Richard; 10 great-grandchildren; and his daughter-in-law, Joy Guidry

He is preceded in death by his wife, Barbara Jean Guidry; parents, Anlow and Amanda Duplechein Guidry; sons, Todd Guidry and Robley Guidry, Jr.; son-in-law, Tony Richard; grandchild, Logan Delahoussaye.

Pallbearers will be Butch Landry, Taylor Guidry, Craig Guidry, Dwayne Dugas, Kevin Latolais and Jack Dugas.

Honorary pallbearer will be Curnal Guidry.
