Roland J. Champagne

Vidor, Texas - Funeral services will be held at 10 am on Saturday, January 18, 2014, at Memorial Funeral Home Chapel in Vidor, TX, for Roland J. Champagne, 73, who passed away on Saturday, January 11, 2014. Visitation will be held at Memorial Funeral Home of Vidor, Texas from 6 - 10 pm on Friday, and continue at 8:30 until 9:45 on Saturday. Interment will follow on Sunday at 2 pm in Bossier City. Roland was a native of Breaux Bridge, Louisiana and a longtime resident of Beaumont, Texas. He never met a stranger and was loved by all. Roland will be sadly missed by his family and friends. Roland is survived by his wife, Glenda Hickman Champagne; five sons, John Johnny Roland Champagne (Nancy), Ricky Champagne (Carol), Robert Champagne, Ryan Champagne (Melinda), and Randy Champagne; four sisters, Mary C. Greenwalt, Betty C. Thibodeaux (Herbert), Yvonne C. Guidry (Chester), and Lorrie C. Tauzin (Feron); and numerous grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and many friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Cyrus and Viola Champagne; his step son, Stanley Roy Milner; and his brother-in-law, Hack Greenwalt. Memorial Funeral Home, 1750 Hwy. 12, Vidor, TX, (409-769-2422), is in charge of arrangements.
