Cecilia - A Funeral Service will be held at 1:00 PM, Monday, December 15, 2025 at Pellerin Funeral Home in Cecilia for Roland Joseph Latiolais, 80, who passed away on December 12, 2025.
A visitation will take place at Pellerin Funeral Home in Cecilia on Monday from 7:30 AM until service time.
A rosary will be prayed at 12:00 PM on Monday.
Deacon Perry Guidry will officiate at the funeral service.
Burial will follow at St. Michael the Archangel Cemetery in Henderson.
Roland was a proud veteran of the United States Army, having served his country with honor. After returning to civilian life, he became the owner and operator of a general store, where he was known for his welcoming smile and dedication to his customers. He took great pride in his work and was a beloved figure in the community.
Roland had a zest for life that was evident in his hobbies. He enjoyed hunting ducks and rabbits, spending countless hours in nature. He was also known for his cooking skills and had a penchant for shopping for trucks. He also deeply loved and cared for his pet dogs.
Although Roland never had children of his own, he was a selfless father figure who showed true compassion to all his nieces and nephews who truly cherished him. His greatest gift was always putting other first despite his limitations. His legacy lives on in the countless lives he touched with his generous spirit and unconditional love.
He is survived by his brother, Roger (Elaine) Latiolais; nephews, Dale White (Nancy), Barry White (Joy), Burt White (Tracy), Richard White (Yolanda), Eric Guilbeau, Kenneth Guilbeau and Mark Guilbeau (Sandra); nieces, Chrystal Dore’ (Miles), Brittney Latiolais, Denise Eddy (DJ), Judy Robin (Mark), Tracy Guilbeau (Harvey), Kelly Berard (Rusty) and Myra Lanclos (Teddy); niece-in-law, Phyllis White; nephew-in-law, Kearney Reynolds; and great-nieces and nephews, Devin, Kimberly, Beth, Kandi, Chance, Caleb, Ava Kate, Ayden, Chris, Kayla, Forrest, William, Jennifer, Ashley, Blake, Anna, Michael, Patrick, Emily, Angelle, Noah, Brandi, Scott, Dillion, Eric, Kim, Jeremy, Charlotte, Amelia, Gabriel, Olivia, Silas, Ava, Amber, Kash, Jake, Ali, Zaylie and Madden.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Mary White Latiolais; sister, Gloria Lee Benoit, parents, Andy and Hilda Eddy Latiolais; nieces, Patricia Reynolds and Deborah Hinkle; nephews, Kenneth White and Sonny White; and great-nephew, Philip Lanclos.
Pallbearers will be Michael Eddy, Patrick Eddy, Forrest White, Jeffrey Tankersley, Mathew Willis and Noah Willis.
