Breaux Bridge - The family will be hosting a Memorial Service at 2:00 pm on Tuesday, September 17, 2024 at Teche Baptist Church in Breaux Bridge for Roland "Poppa" LeBlanc, Sr., 79, who passed away on Wednesday, September 11, 2024 at his residence.
A gathering will take place at Teche Baptist Church on Tuesday from 10:00 am until 2:00 pm.
Roland was a faithful member of Teche Baptist Church, where he had great love for his church family. He served as a former member of the Henderson Fire Department. His dedication and passion for his work was truly remarkable, leaving a lasting impact on all who had the pleasure of knowing him. His career as a supervisor took him to various locations worldwide where he showcased his skills and expertise in the oilfield industry. Roland's greatest passions were spending time with his loved ones, riding motorcycles and four-wheelers and helping his son with carpentry work.
Roland mentored Eli Moore and Luke Boyer, who became very close and dear to his heart. He cherished their time spent together. Him and his lifelong best friend, Larry Pigott, enjoyed spending time together, growing in faith with the knowledge they shared for God and the love of spiritual guidance they gave to others. Spending time with his dear neighbors, Louis and Aline Robin was something he enjoyed. Roland was a true God-fearing, family man, who would often give Biblical advice to others. He was a loving and devoted father, grandfather, great-grandfather and brother, who will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
He is survived by his daughters, Kelly Bodoin (Casey) and Sandra LeBlanc; daughter-in-law, Lisa LeBlanc; sister, Janelle Huval (Gene); grandchildren, Megan Anslem (Trent), Madison LeBlanc, Logan LeBlanc (Olivia), Cameron LeBlanc (Rylie), Andre' Poupart (Emily), Aaron Poupart (Amber), Rusty Bergeron (Ashley) and Brianna Bergeron; 16 great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews.
