Ronald was born on January 30, 1943, in Catahoula. Ronald found peace in his yard where he spent countless hours nurturing its growth. His love for working on small engines reflected not only a talent for fixing things, but also a deeper connection to the intricacies of life, illustrating his hands-on approach to the world.

Ronald was renowned for his infectious sense of humor, always ready with a clever quip or light-hearted joke that brightened the days of those fortunate enough to call him a friend. His laughter resonated in the hearts of many, creating cherished memories that will live on in the stories shared by those who knew him.

A lover of music and dance, Ronald could always be found swaying to his favorite tunes, whether he was enjoying a night out or simply relaxing at home. He had a particular fondness for the thrill of the casino, where he delighted in the excitement of games and the opportunity to share a good time with friends. It was these moments that brought him joy, filling his life with vibrant experiences that echo in the smiles of those around him.

He is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Verna Mae Blanchard; daughter, Meverly Bernard (Burt); brother, Bernard Blanchard (Agnes); grandchild, Burton Bernard, Jr. (Danielle); great-grandchildren, Shea Bernard, Reagan Bernard, Cru Bernard and Memphis Bernard; and nieces and nephews.
