Ronald "RT" Touchet

Rynella – A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 1:30 pm, on Tuesday, January 13, 2026, at St. Marcellus Catholic Church, for Ronald “RT” Touchet, 70, who passed away on Friday, January 9, 2026.

Interment will follow in the Broussard Cemetery.

Msgr. Richard Greene will be the Celebrant.

Visitation will be held on Monday, from 4:00 pm until 8:00 pm, at Pellerin Funeral Home, and will continue Tuesday, from 8:00 am until 12:30 pm.

A rosary, led by the Men’s Rosary Group, will be prayed at 6:00 pm on Monday, at Pellerin Funeral Home.

A native and lifelong resident of New Iberia, RT was born on January 21, 1955, to the late Edias and Esther Jasek Touchet. He was a 1974 graduate of New Iberia Senior High, and was a self employed master plumber for over 45 years. RT enjoyed cooking, fishing, hunting, and was a member of the Fourth Degree Knights of Columbus. His greatest pleasure was spending time with his family and friends.

Survivors include his wife of nearly 51 years, Peggy Bourque Touchet of New Iberia; son, Ronald “RP” Touchet (Tami) of New Iberia; daughter, Lacy Touchet (Jason Roy) of New Iberia; grandchildren, Molly Touchet, Emma Touchet, Audrey Touchet, Jason “Bub” Roy, and Lillie Roy.

In addition to his parents, RT was preceded in death by a son, Kaki Touchet, and brothers, Kenny Touchet and Danny Paul Touchet.

Pallbearers will be RP Touchet, Jason Roy, Jason Bourque, Paul Chevalon, Marcus Boudreaux, and Carl Meaux.

Honorary pallbearers include Jacy Louviere, Jason Kaki Roy, Neil Soileau, Dakealin Polite, Zoda Patrick Bourque, II, and Zoda “Pat” Bourque.
