Rose worked at Marine Electric in Lafayette for years until she and Sandy purchased a grocery store in Cecilia in May of 1971. The success and growth of the store was a passion of both Rose and Sandy and they worked together as a team to improve and develop the business for 35 years. After Sandy’s death, Rose continued to work at the store, alongside her son Dayne, until recently. Rose was joyful, loved life, lived life to its fullest, loved to dance, cook, travel and be with friends and family. She was a world traveler and had been on numerous cruises. She was quick to laugh, especially at herself. Rose was an avid gardener and exceptional cook.
