Rose Mae Savoie Stelly

Arnaudville - A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 AM, Saturday, January 28, 2023, at St. John Francis Regis Catholic Church for Rose Mae Savoie Stelly, 76, who passed away on Wednesday, January 25, 2023.

A visitation will take place at the funeral home in Arnaudville on Friday from 1:30 PM to 10:00 PM and will continue on Saturday from 8:00 AM to 10:30 AM.

A rosary will be prayed at 7:00 PM on Friday. 

Rev. Travis Abadie will officiate at the Funeral Mass. Readers will be Brandy Patin and Jennifer Huval. Gift bearers will be Kelsie Stelly and Natalie Lanclos.

Interment will follow at St. John Francis Regis Mausoleum.

Rose was born January 27, 1946, in Leonville, and was one of 13 children. She enjoyed family gatherings, cooking, Bingo, working on puzzles, and coffee visits. Rose loved her family dearly, especially loving on her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She will be deeply missed.

She is survived by her children, Joseph "Big Joe" Stelly, Beverly Domingue and David Stelly (Cecile), all of Cecilia; grandchildren, Christina Sonnier (Ozeime), Katie Jo Stelly, Natalie Lanclos (Michael), Ricky Domingue, Jr. (Brittany), Kelsie Stelly, and Jude Stelly; ten great grandchildren; six step great grandchildren; and her siblings, Curtis Savoie (Tina), Ophie Savoie, JY Savoie (Caroline), Floyd Savoie (Rita), Enola Knott (Percy), and Betty Boudreaux (Larry). 

She is preceded in death by her husband, Joseph "T-Red" Stelly; parents, Ovie and Evelyn Richard Savoie; son, Joseph Stelly; grandchild, Kayla Evelyn Domingue; sisters, Edna Stelly, DearaLee Devillier, Joyce Elaine Bernard, Dolores Daigle, Maudrey Devillier, and Norma Savoie. 

Pallbearers will be Joseph Curtis Savoie, Ricky Domingue, Jr., Jude Stelly, Joseph Ophie Savoie, Brent Savoie, and Ozeime Sonnier.

Honorary pallbearers will be Joseph "Big Joe" Stelly, David Stelly and Tyler Richter.
