Arnaudville - Funeral Services will be held at 3:00 pm, on Monday, January 13, 2014, at St. John Francis Regis Catholic Church in Arnaudville, for Rose Taylor Richard, 56, who passed away on Thursday, January 9, 2014.
The family requests that visiting hours be observed at the funeral home from 9:00 am until 10:00 pm on Sunday and continue at 7:00 am until 2:30 pm on Monday.
Fr. Bill Ruskoski, Pastor of Sacred Heart of Jesus Church will officiate at the Funeral Service. Readers will be Catherine Taylor and Candice Robin. Gift Bearers will be Chastity Courville, Amber Rebert and Trevor LeBlanc.
Interment will follow at St. John Francis Regis Cemetery in Arnaudville.
Rose was a native of Arnaudville, a parishioner of St. John Francis Regis Catholic Church and a Teacher for those preparing for confirmation. She worked as a nurse for 28 years at J. Michael Morrow Nursing Home. Rose enjoyed reading and was a competitive sport athlete. She offered spiritual guidance to those in need and was known to many as a person with courage and strength.
She is survived by her mother, Mary Ann LeBlanc Taylor of Arnaudville; her husband of 36 years, Lionel Wayne Richard of Arnaudville; her son, Alex Richard of Arnaudville; her daughters, Tiffany Hollier and her husband, Jeremy of Arnaudville, Adrienne and her husband Craig Broussard, Jr. of Carencro; her brothers, Tommy (Tonya) Taylor of Leonville, Charles (Monica) Taylor of Arnaudville, Preston Taylor, Jr., of Arnaudville, Mike (Paula) Taylor of Arnaudville, Edgar (Alyssa) Taylor of Port Barre, Doug (Jay) Taylor of Lafayette, Mitch (Catherine) Taylor of Arnaudville; her sisters, Mary (Myron) Richard of Arnaudville, and Sylvia (Joey) Quebedeaux of Arnaudville; her brothers-in-law, Barney (Juanita) Richard of Arnaudville, Tony (Cheryl) Richard of Lafayette, and Myron (Mary) Richard of Arnaudville; her sisters-in-law, Madeline Guidry of Arnaudville, and Connie (Todd) Stelly of Arnaudville; her grandchildren, Brent Hollier of Arnaudville, Landon Hollier of Arnaudville, and Marley Broussard of Carencro.
She is preceded in death by her father, Preston Taylor, Sr.; and her sister, Audrey Taylor.
Pallbearers will be her seven brothers, Tommy, Charles, Preston, Mike, Edgar, Doug, and Mitch Taylor.
