Arnaudville A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 am, on Monday, July 14, 2014, at St. John Francis Regis Catholic Church in Arnaudville, for Ruby Marie Tomsa, 90, who passed away on Wednesday, July 9, 2014.
The family requests that visiting hours be observed at the funeral home from 10:30 am until 10:00 pm on Sunday and continue at 8:00 am until 9:30 am on Monday. A rosary will be recited at 7:00 pm on Sunday.
Rev. Keenan Brown will officiate at the Funeral Mass. Reading the scriptures for the service will be Raven Bechman and Lita Sanchez. Serving as gift bearers will be Beth Mayer, Nicole York and Dawn Breaux. Music will be provided by Valarie Andrus. Interment will follow at St. John Francis Regis Cemetery in Arnaudville.
Ruby was a former member of The Rockettes Dance Team. She was a devoted wife to her husband Lonnie and enjoyed taking care and spending time with her family.
She is survived by her husband, Lonnie Tomsa of Arnaudville, LA; her son, Sidney Taylor, Jr. and his wife, Natalie of Maryville, TN; her step-son, Raymon Tomsa and his wife, Gretchen of Lafayette. LA; her two step-daughters, Pat Gremillion and her husband, Frank of Houston, TX and Nettie Marie Fogelman and her husband, Ron of Chicago, IL; her brother, Allen Artigue and his wife, Sis of Bayou Portage, LA; her sister, Dorothy Bonvillian of Jarreau, LA; 19 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren; and several great-great-grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her first husband, Sidney Taylor, Sr.; her son, Teddy Taylor; her two daughters, Sandra Guidry and Linda Speyrer; and her parents, Joe and Adele Artigue.
Pallbearers will be Travis Taylor, Jed Guidry, Jason Guidry, Joey Speyrer, Cade Taylor, and Jaron Taylor.
Honorary pallbearers will be Raymon Tomsa and Kara Tomsa.
