New Iberia - A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 1:00 PM Monday, March 28, 2011 at St. Peter Catholic Church in New Iberia for Rule 'Joey' Dugas, II, 52 who died Wednesday, March 23, 2011 in Baton Rouge . Interment will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. Rev. Charles Langlois will be the Celebrant. Born on May 25, 1958 in New Iberia , Joey proudly served our country in the United States Marine Corps. He loved spending time with his family and friends, and deeply cherished be a Marine. Survivors include mother, Lucille Champagne Dugas of New Iberia; sisters, Sondra Gauthier and husband Burt of New Iberia, Julie Chauvin and husband Allie of Katy, Texas , Brenda Dugas of Scott; nephew, Jason Primeaux; nieces, Cammie McKinney and husband Ray, Laurie Chauvin, and Kristie Etzel and husband Sgt. First Class Chad Etzel. He was preceded in death by father, Warner M. Dugas. A gathering of family and friends will be Sunday from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Pellerin Funeral Home, 502 Jefferson Terrace Blvd , in New Iberia . A rosary will be prayed at 7:00 PM.
