Sam Latiolais

Arnaudville- Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., on Wednesday, December 29, 2010, at St. John Francis Regis Catholic Church in Arnaudville, for Sam Joseph Latiolais, 80, who passed away on Saturday, December 25, 2010 at Lafayette General Medical Center. Interment will follow at St. John Francis Regis Cemetery in Arnaudville. Mr. Latiolais was a veteran of the Korean Conflict having honorably served his country in the United States Marine Corps and was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars in Arnaudville. In his free time he enjoyed watching old cowboy movies, going fishing, trapping turtles, and being involved with the public, meeting people. His family meant the world to him and having family gatherings brought him tremendous joy and proved that this is what keeps family together. Survivors include his wife, Alice Hardy Latiolais of Arnaudville; his son, Harold Latiolais of Arnaudville; three daughters, Elaine Latiolais of Mississippi, Bonnie Rudolph of Eunice, and Lisa Richard of Arnaudville; two brothers, Norman and Francias Latiolais of Arnaudville; three grandchildren, Shelly Dupr, Michelle Meaux and Chris Robin; and eight great grandchildren, Lexie Meaux, Courtney Meaux, Jazmin Meaux, Gabrielle Meaux, Kristina Meaux, Jase Sam Dupr, Victoria Dupr, and Kaden Dupr. He was preceded in death by his parents, Dewey and Lena Knott Latiolais. The family requests that visiting hours be observed from 1 p.m. until 11 p.m. on Tuesday and continue at 7 a.m. until 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday. A rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. on Tuesday.
